Cause of endangerment: Poaching. They have highly desirable coats, which led to them being poached and killed for fur. Many people just liked the idea of owning the coat of a rare animal.

How to help: There's not much that average citizens can do to stop poaching. The best way to help is to raise awareness of the animal and it's state.
