Recently Extinct Animals
The Spix Macaw, the same species as Blu from the 2011 movie Rio, was confirmed extinct in 2018.
The Northern White Rhino went extinct in March of 2018, due to the fact that there are only 2 females left.
The Cryptic Treehunter was confirmed extinct in early January of 2018. It was a bird species found only in the Amazon Rainforest.
